Unit 14 They Are Visiting the Zoo

一、 教材分析

本课处于Book 5的Unit 14,它与前面学过的Unit4有着内在的联系。在Unit4里面,学生学习了一些动物,如:frog. Kangaroo. Turtle等等,以及它们的能力, 而本课的重点之一是学习动物的特征,通过本课的学习,学生可以更深入地了解动物,整合语言知识点,所以教师调整教材的顺序。在学本课之前,学生已有下面的语言知识基础:

(2) Adjective: big small heavy long short funny lovely dangerous beautiful strong cute…

对于五年级学生来说,说单个句子并不难,但要连贯运用语言就表现得比较吃力了,所以老师要创造机会让学生综合运用这些句子,让学生主动构建语言知识。

二、 学生分析

本班学生从三年级开始学习英语,对英语已产生了一定的兴趣。学生在四年级已接触过如何描述一个人,如:She has big eyes, she‘s beautiful.等。在这节课,主要是学习如何描述动物。根据学生原有的知识水平,老师在这节课里更注重的是创造机会让学生自主、探索、合作学习,以及培养学生综合运用语言知识的能力。

(通过sing a song和 play a guessing game来活跃课堂气氛,使学生快速进入英语学习状态;这两个活动也为后面连贯描述动物做准备:同时也训练了学生的英语思维能力和口头表达能力。 )

2) Drill “seal”

一、说教材

1.说课内容:SuccessWithEnglishUnit7Book 1.

2.教学内容的地位、作用和意义

本课是让学生掌握有关文具类的单词以及询问物品位置的句型:Where is...?, Is it in/on…学生通过学习能用所学知识运用到实际生活中去,从而提高学生的口语交际能力。

3.教学目标:

(1)语言知识目标:

A.掌握句子:① Where is…?, Is it in/on…?及其回答。

B.理解短语:Here it is!

C.单词:

“四会”单词:where、pencil、on、desk、bed、in、table、no、isn’t

“三会”单词:pencil-case.

(2) 语言技能目标:

A.能听懂会说本课词汇。

B.能流利朗读本课的对话。

C.能运用句型Where is…?询问单个物品的位置;用Is it in/on…?猜测物品的位置并会用No, it isn’t.及Yes, it is. 作出回答。
